The Carl Schurz School is an English-speaking early childhood program for children 12 weeks to 5 years old, serving families in the Consulate and international communities. Our American-style programs follow Virginia state licensing standards, ensuring a safe, high-quality environment. Our classrooms are led by a dedicated team of U.S. Consulate Employee Family Members and local educators, who use the Creative Curriculum, nature-based learning, and play-centered experiences to nurture curiosity, confidence, and kindness. We also offer enrichment camps and aftercare for young elementary-aged children, providing a caring, engaging space for every child to learn, explore, and grow.
